You are out walking the coast path and excitedly you see a seal; but you soon realise it’s not behaving in a way you would expect. It’s situated in a weird place, high up on a rock far from the sea; Or maybe it’s in the water, not moving and it looks like it has blue rope around its neck. Your natural instinct tells you, you need to help, to ask someone…is this normal? Is it OK? 

We can help! We know our local seals and their habits and behaviours. It may be that what you have witnesses it perfectly ok but if its not then we can escalate it to the BDMLR. Our seal surveys and our local seal knowledge facilitate this.

We raise funds through various initiatives. We give talks, receive sponsorship from local businesses, and this summer, Brixham town council will be selling their pin badges to support us. Despite these efforts, we need to secure vital funds to continue our work. Our operating costs and essential tasks include maintaining and insuring our boat used for monitoring and surveying the seals. Furthermore, parking costs for call-outs and surveys are unavoidable, and they all add up.
